PPF Choir Recoginized by Pearl Committee

The People Precious and Few Choir is honored to be the recipient of an award honoring the group for its 33 years of service to the Good Shepherd Parish community and for its contributions to sacred music. The award was presented by Bishop Antonio Tobias last August 19 in a special evening mass commemorating the anniversary of the Parish dedication held at the Good Shepherd Cathedral. The other recipients of service awards include the Block Rosary Movement and the PREX Secretariat were also honored during that night. In his acceptance speech held at a thaksgiving dinner after the mass, PPF CHoir President Alex Carandang shared the award with all the parish choirs who have served the parish throught the years. The Good Shepherd Parish celebrated last month its Pearl (30th) Foundation Anniversary. This will be the first time that such award was given out by the Parish.

Congrats Trina!

The PPF Choir is pleased to announce that one of its members, Trini Anne G. Nieva, has passed the 2004 BAR Exams, as announced by the Supreme Court last week. This is an important achievement and milestone for her and the group. Please join us in congratulating Trina and wishing her continued success.

PPF to help stage Krus ng Golgota

The Choir is actively involved in the production of "Daan ng Krus" "Krus ng Golgota" as the parish's Lenten offering to its people. The effort is headed by Eric Oracion as the producer and Vincent Ocampo as the director. The cast is composed mainly by the Teatro Ebanghelyo, the resident theater group of the parish, while the PPF Choir lends its singing talent to the musical, together with the Friends Choir and Sons and Daughters Choir. Daan ng Krus is a musical based on the Stations of the Cross and uses original music composed by the members of the Praise and Music Ministry. The musical will be staged on "Palm Sunday, March 20, 2005 March 22 & 23 at 7:30pm.

PALEGGSAHAN 2005

On Easter Sunday, the PPF Choir will once again play host to the kids of Fairview as they hold the annual Easter Sports Fest, Pakeggsahan Children from five to ten years old are all invited to join in the festivities with lots of games and prizes and in store for them. Paleggsahan is a PPF Choir tradition which evolved from the traditional Easter Egg Hunt. It will be held this year on March 27, at the Parish Gym.

The PPF Choir will lead in the community singing in the anticipated Sunday mass at the Fairview Center Mall. All are invited to join them on all Saturdays of March (except March 26), at 6PM, on the third level of the mall (old cinema).
